One word: Chaotic Tokio Hotel visited Stockholm and OKEJ was there.
Cool and good looking, they are standing waiting for us in the conference room at Grand Hotel in Stockholm. Bill, Tom Georg and Gustav are ready to not only conquer the german speaking art of the world, but also little Sweden. And they have succeeded; a few days after Scream was released it entered the album chart at no 1.
You have a very unique style, how important are your looks for you? BILL: Well, it is…we express ourselves through our looks, they both belong together, and a right mix between our music and our personalities. That’s why it is important. Music and looks go hand in hand.
How are your fans? BILL: They are totally wild. They throw up stuff at us on stage during concerts; posters, stuffed animals, underwear. Tom got hit in his head by a battery once. (Ну это они поскромничали, конечно, мы-то знаем, что он там отдирал от гитары пару раз. Думаю, батарейке он был только рад) We are still curious why somebody chose to throw a battery at us.
Who are the wildest fans? TOM: All fans are equal, no matter if we come here or go somewhere else. They like us, and are happy and nice (ага, особенно, когда кидаются батарейками). Everywhere we come lot of them are waiting for us outside hotels and the concer thalls or other places we’re going to. That’s fun of course (особенно, когда возвращаешься в три часа ночи, пьяный в зюзю и кто-то раскачивает землю )
Do you have any fun memory involving a fan? TOM: Hmm, an anecdote… BILL: Haha, we have a lot of fun memories, but maybe nothing that happened with a fan... (да, да, мы тоже помним эту историю. может, не надо снова? а?)
Something else then? BILL: The funnies was when we stayed at a hotel in Hamburg. From the terrace in our room we could see a girl and a guy have sex with each other in another room. And we just had to watch them. (фак! ну вот. опять ) TOM: But the wasn’t so good at it. I’m better! BILL: Then next morning we met them at breakfast. That was really embarrassing.
Do you flirt with fans? TOM: Of course! BILL: There are a lot of very beautiful girls who like us, and we’re young guys…But to be honest I’m pretty shy. But if the girl is nice, then sure, I try to work up the courage to speak to her. It’s not as if we flirt with lots of fans anyay, it completely depends on the situation and how it feels. (что-то я такого не припомню... хотя нет, помню, где он давал девочке свои ногти потрогать. это считается? )
Do you have any girlfriends now? ALL: No.
But isn’t it easier to score with girls now when you’re famous? BILL: I haven’t actually checked out if that's true. But if someone who likes me and I like her, then sure, we would get together. Maybe it is easier in some ways.
You have just released an album in english. How does that feel? BILL: It was hard to change language, since german is my native languge. I tried to sing it so it would sound as naturally and personal as it does when I sing German. I’m a perfectionist so I want everything to work.That’s why it took longer to record this album than it took with the others. (бла-бла-бла... это мы уже слышали. Да. Но я вот подумала, что либо Детку заколебало работать, либо у него все-таки со слухом плохо... Хотя, можно же всегда сказать, что он поет на американском английском )
